The UCFA brings together cyber security professionals from across the UK to exchange insights, foster connections, and stay at the forefront of industry developments. Join a growing network dedicated to collaboration and forward-thinking solutions.
The Unify Cyber Fusion Alliance (UCFA) is a growing network of some of the UK’s top cyber security professionals, spanning a wide range of roles and industries. From CISOs, Cyber Advisors, Heads of SecOps, and Risk & Compliance experts to Senior VPs of Technology and Infrastructure Managers, our members share one thing in common: a passion for staying ahead in the rapidly evolving world of cyber security. The UCFA isn’t limited by job title or company – it’s a collective of like-minded professionals dedicated to learning, networking, and supporting each other.
At our regular in-person networking events, members have the chance to exchange insights about their daily challenges, emerging cyber threats, and trends in the ever-changing landscape of cybersecurity. We also introduce members to innovative cybersecurity vendors and solutions making waves across the UK. As always, Chatham House Rules apply at every event, ensuring a trusted space where everyone can speak freely and openly about the realities of working in cyber security.
The Story Behind UCFA
The UCFA was co-founded by Trude Palmer, MD of uUnify, and Steve Mullan of Cyber Fusion Distribution. What started as a strategic partnership between two companies has evolved into something much greater – a community-driven initiative that’s not just about sales or business development. Frustrated by traditional conferences that focus too much on vendor sales pitches, Trude and Steve envisioned a space that truly prioritises the needs of the cyber security community.
With UCFA, every member plays a key part in shaping the network, helping guide its direction, and contributing to its growth. It’s a collective effort, where everyone’s voice matters, and together we welcome new peers and vendors. This is an alliance built by the community, for the community.
Managing Director of uUnify, Trude Palmer, said: ‘“I started it because I saw it as a great opportunity for my friends and trusted clients to build business relationships, connect with like-minded people, and enjoy some well-deserved laughter along the way. I’m all about fostering community and lifting people up, and I really believe we’ve got the perfect mix here.”
Why Join the UCFA?
If you’re passionate about becoming part of a cyber security network and looking for a way to connect with peers in a relaxed, genuine setting, the UCFA is for you. Here’s what you can expect as a member:
- Quarterly Meetups: Every quarter, we gather on a Thursday evening at one of London’s traditional pubs to catch up, share ideas, and welcome new faces. It’s an informal but impactful way to reconnect with the community, share what you’ve been working on, and pick up new insights from fellow professionals.
- Charity Involvement: We’re also proud to support causes that matter. Each year, UCFA hosts tables at the White Hat Charity Ball, where we raise funds for the NSPCC. Plus, we recently launched a bi-weekly auction series in collaboration with Hospital Radio Reading, NSPCC, and Cloud Digital, offering fantastic prizes, with all proceeds going to Childline.
- Real Conversations: The UCFA is about more than just business – it’s a place where professionals can have real, honest conversations about the cyber security landscape. Our members value authenticity, and we aim to foster an environment where everyone feels comfortable sharing their experiences and challenges.
The Future of UCFA
As the UCFA continues to grow, we remain committed to creating a space where our members can learn from each other, discover new solutions, and develop lasting professional relationships. By being part of the UK’s most respected cyber security network, you’ll stay ahead of the curve while giving back to the community.
